kcalIngredients
2 medium apples, cut into small pieces
2 tsp (10 ml) lemon juice
½ tsp (1.5 g) cinnamon
⅓ cup (67 g) sugar
1 tsp (3 g) ground cinnamon
10–12 bread slices
4 oz (120 g) cream cheese, room temperature
2 eggs
3 tbsp (45 g) milk
1 tbsp (14 g) butter
Directions
- Cook the apples
Peel and cut the apples into small pieces. Place them in a pan with lemon juice and cinnamon, then cook over low heat for about 3 minutes, stirring gently until slightly softened. Add the sugar and ground cinnamon, mix well, and remove from heat once combined. - Prepare the bread
Take the bread slices and remove the crusts. Roll each slice with a rolling pin until completely flattened to make them easy to roll. - Fill and roll
Spread cream cheese evenly over each flattened bread slice. Spoon about 1–2 teaspoons of the cooked apple mixture onto the bread, then roll it up tightly and set aside. - Make the egg mixture
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until fully combined. - Dip and cook
Heat a pan over medium heat and add butter. Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating all sides, then place in the hot pan. Cook, turning gently, until all sides are golden brown. - Coat and serve
While still warm, roll the cooked French toast roll-ups in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is fully at room temperature before spreading to avoid tearing the flattened bread slices while assembling.
