Baked Cajun Turkey Wings with Homemade Gravy
These baked turkey wings are cooked until incredibly tender, juicy, and full of bold flavor. The wings are seasoned generously with a blend of Cajun, Creole, and classic spices, then baked slowly in a savory gravy that keeps the meat moist and rich from start to finish.
As the turkey wings bake, they absorb flavor from the seasoned broth, onions, and bell peppers layered underneath. The result is fall-off-the-bone turkey with a deeply seasoned gravy that pairs perfectly with the meat, making this dish both comforting and satisfying.

Ground black pepper
Paprika
Italian seasoning
2 cups chicken broth
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
Onions
Bell peppers
Butter
Directions
- Prepare the Turkey Wings
Start with five clean turkey wings. Using a fork or knife, gently poke holes all over the wings to help the seasoning penetrate the meat. Once done, pat the wings dry thoroughly with a napkin to remove excess moisture. - Oil and Season the Wings
Drizzle olive oil over the turkey wings and rub it evenly over all sides. In a separate bowl, combine Cajun seasoning, Creole seasoning, ground black pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Reserve a small portion of this seasoning blend for later. Sprinkle the remaining seasoning generously over the turkey wings, coating them well. - Make the Gravy
In a bowl, add about 2 cups of chicken broth. Gradually stir in 4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, mixing continuously to prevent lumps. Add the reserved seasoning blend into the gravy and stir until smooth and well combined. - Assemble the Baking Dish
Add sliced onions and bell peppers to the bottom of a baking dish, spreading them evenly to prevent burning. Pour a small amount of the prepared gravy over the vegetables. - Add the Turkey Wings and Liquid
Place the seasoned turkey wings into the baking dish on top of the vegetables. Pour the remaining chicken broth along the sides of the dish, avoiding pouring directly over the wings. - Add Butter and Cover
Place small pieces of butter along the sides of the baking dish. Cover the dish tightly to lock in moisture during baking. - Bake Until Tender
Bake the turkey wings at 350°F for about 1½ hours, or until the meat is extremely tender and easily pulls away from the bone.

Notes
- Avoid pouring the broth directly over the turkey wings so the seasoning stays intact while baking and the skin retains its flavor.
